Frequently it is the better answer, and the reason is roof traffic rather than cost. A seasonal install means people on your slate twice a year, forever. Permanent means one careful install and then nobody is on the roof again. The channel also sits under the eave and disappears in daylight, which on this architecture matters - the house stays the thing you look at. We assess each home individually rather than recommending it blanket.
